Hi. My name is Giovanni Nakpil. To tell you a bit about myself, I was born in the Philippines on July of 1976. It was while growing up there that I was exposed to the things that would later influence me in life. I can still fondly remember being affected by that first moment that the star destroyer came into view, tip first from the upper frame of the screen, accompanied by the familiarly deep and hypnotic rumble that has since been ingrained in many people's minds. Just like many others, I took that as my calling. The movie, of course, was "Star Wars: A New Hope". It was the catalyst that sparked the vast interest thatI now have with monsters, robots, spaceships and many fantastical things.

I've been working in my chosen field for close to a decade now. It has been one helluva fun ride, so far. Nearly 5 years of my career has been spent fulfilling my childhood fantasies and dreams working at Industrial Light and Magic, creating the craziest things that anyone's imagination can think of. I guess the tip of the star destroyer was actually the tip of the iceberg for me, since that was when it all started. I consider myself to be an extremely lucky guy for having come across such a great opportunity and career.

This website is a combination of many things that I've produced throughout my years of working. It chronicles my progression as an aspiring sculptor and digital artist. I hope you enjoy your stay.
